Ashlee champions Pilates for its versatility and adaptability. She believes it can aid anyone towards their physical health goals, whether they are getting up and down off the floor without pain, rehabilitating after injury or surgery, or training to compete at the Olympics. Ashlee began practicing Pilates while studying her physically demanding Bachelor of Dance at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2009, and it has been invaluable to her ongoing fitness and wellbeing throughout her career.
It was an easy decision for Ashlee to combine her love of Pilates, movement and teaching by completing her qualifications and becoming a Studio (Clinical) Pilates instructor through Polestar Pilates. She is especially interested in how the body learns and loves to help people find more efficient ways to move while avoiding injury during day-to-day, sports and recreational activities. Ashlee also esteems Pilates as a method that empowers people by improving their balance, coordination and general body awareness. She regularly hears from clients that as well as reducing their pain and discomfort, they love how Pilates teaches them how their bodies actually work.
